Safety & liability
Please read these notices before purchasing or using any Crisis Mats product. They describe the limits of what safety padding can do, how it must be installed and maintained, and the terms under which it is sold.
01
Inherent risk and assumption of risk
While safety padding is designed to reduce the risk of injury, it cannot eliminate it entirely. Participation in sports, physical activities, and relying on safety equipment involves an inherent risk of serious injury or death.
- By purchasing and using this product, the user assumes all risks associated with the activity for which the padding is used.
- These products are intended to mitigate impact but do not guarantee protection against all bodily harm, injury, or property damage.
02
Professional installation required
For this safety padding to function as intended, it must be installed by a trained, qualified professional. Improper installation can severely compromise the safety and effectiveness of the padding.
- We strongly advise against DIY installation unless performed by individuals with specific training in safety equipment mechanics.
- The management of this website or its suppliers shall not be held responsible for any product failure, injury, or damage resulting from improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow the provided installation guidelines.
03
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the management of this website or its suppliers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, injury, or death arising out of the use, misuse, or inability to use these products.
- The purchaser's and user's sole remedy for any defective product is limited to the replacement of the product itself or a refund of the purchase price, at the sole discretion of the management of this website or its suppliers.
04
Proper use, inspection, and maintenance
Safety padding degrades over time due to weather, UV exposure, impact, and general wear and tear.
- Routine inspection: it is the explicit responsibility of the facility owner, manager, or user to routinely inspect the padding before each use.
- Maintenance: look for tears, compressed foam, unfastened hardware, or environmental degradation.
- Replacement: if the padding shows any signs of significant wear, structural compromise, or damage, it must be removed from use and replaced immediately.
